In the strange land of two red suns, Allbanu, Kestrel comes to realize that the destruction being wrought in that world is only a foretaste of what will happen in his own land if Uniontown is allowed to gain victory. When he and the sprites return to the lands of the Inner Seas though, Kestrel will find that the threat of Uniontown can be so insidious and well-disguised that he may not recognize it until it has already burrowed into his own heart.

Still lovin it, but hate the cliff hanger

Please, please come out with the next book soon, as in tomorrow! I can't believe you stopped the book mid sentence!

Besides his need of someone to go through his books at least one more time to get rid of the few grammar mistakes and his need to press CTRL (or command if your a mac user) F and type in the word Alec in all of The Inner Seas Kingdoms Series and have it replaced with Kestrel, the book is fantastic. Not sure if he plans on it being a 10 book series like the Ingenairii series was, but so far he is doing a great job of keeping you the reader entertained and wanting more... oh so much more.. If you have started out on this series and have not read the Ingenairii series, then I wish I could be in your shoes so I could reread it. Don't hesitate, just get it and don't plan on doing anything else until you have finished the series.

Road of Shadows

This is Book 3 of the Inner Seas Kingdoms, and I can't wait for Book 4. The author already has presented some very rich and interesting ideas of how different species can interact through the main character, Kestrel, a half-elf half human. I am hoping that he expands the books to include more encounters of other beings for Kestrel in his on-going adventures. The plot keeps the reader moving through many unexpected types of situations and characters. Highly recommend.

The series is still holding my interest but has now developed to the point that any new reader should start with book one. The series, or any other, is well suited to the kindle as you can review previous books for clarification of characters, names, or locations as our hero leads a busy life.
I am looking forward to the next book on my half elf half human friend. Keep writing Mr Quyle. You are not a secret elf, are you?

About the Author
GARY NEVILLE was born on February 18, 1975 and became one of the most decorated footballers in the history of the English game with his one and only club, Manchester United. He was captain of the United team that won the FA Youth Cup in 1992 and after making his first-team debut that autumn, went on to make 602 appearances for the club. He won the Premier League eight times (skippering the Red Devils to their triumphs in 2007, 2008 and 2009), the FA Cup three times, the League Cup twice and the Champions League in 1999 to complete a remarkable set of medals. He also won 85 caps for England -- a record for a right-back -- and appeared in two World Cups and three European Championships for his country.

Very intelligent man. And it shows.

His punditry on Sky is known as top notch, well read, nuanced and impeccably prepared. This book is no different. And while not as funny or entertaining as the Savage and Gillespie books (this guy was beyond professional) they come from a different place, perspective and operating level. In other words, Gary operated, played and has the intellectual capacity that is beyond most footballers - and this book makes that obvious without being so.

I dont read a lot of books but this was an awesome and interesting read. Gary Neville shows what is too be a True Red and how it feels for one of the young boys from the region to play for the biggest club in the World. Gary has an amazing knowledge of the game and other aspects related to it, which also makes a great TV Pundit. He covers all his years at United right from youth sqaud, thru the treble, diasspointment with England, Fergies influence on his fliedligns, his friends and heroes like becks, cantona, ronaldo, wazza.
An Awesome and Must Read for all Football fans & true Manchester United fans !

If you're looking for a book that covers secret gambling addictions, alcoholism, wags, groupies, partying and all the clich�s attached to the young modern day, multimillionaire footballer then this book isn't for you. If you want to get an insight into what it takes to make it from the Sunday leagues of Manchester to being the captain of Manchester United then there probably isn't a better book. Gary describes the pivotal moments in his career with passion, emotion and detail and is never shy from stating his opinions. Any Manchester United fan should thoroughly enjoy reading it.

Not just for JA Fans

About half of this book can be read by a non JA lover and still find it interesting. The author does a very nice job of giving both an understandable explaination of food and customs of the period for even the non fans out there. But the latter chapters, which focus on themes of food and its relationship to the novels and the characters will leave the non-initiated a little harried. Having read all the novels also helps a great deal when she begins to break down character by character. The author also has some wonderful insights that literally made a light bulb go off in my head. So in the end if you are a JA fan read away, if you are not try reading half of it!

Great book. Well researched and scholarly. Written in an easy to read style. Provides fresh insights into Austen's characters as well as the life of women of her times.

Interesting Book! Dining and HOW it was done and WHAT was consumed could be a Whole DIFFERENT affair back in 1810!

My, my how times have changed! Dining and food played quite a different role in the lives of the middle class and the wealthier classes during the Regency Era in England. What was served was important and how it was prepared and offered up on the dining room table had meaning back then. Food and food service was often very different from todays meals, especially when guests dined with families back in the early 1800's. It was also interesting to me how the timing of meals and of "tea" throughout the day could be of such importance. And also that well brought up young ladies like Lizzie and Emma, rarely had anything to do with food preparation. Their involvement with that primarily consisted of choosing the "menu" for the day and giving that information to the housekeeper or cook. In "P & P", Mrs. Bennett actually takes quite a bit of pride in the fact that HER daughters (unlike Charlotte Lucas) had nothing to do with "kitchen activities". Thus giving her daughters, like Lizzie and Jane, more social status because of their lack of involvement with food. I really enjoyed reading this book, as it was like a little window back in time that gave me a better idea of what daily life was like for women of this era. Life revolved so MUCH around dining correctly back then. It made me wonder what the Bennett family and Mr, Darcy would think of eating in todays world filled with fast food drive up windows! It also made me wonder what Regency era families would think of all the modern "Foodies" out there today who enjoy viewing programs like "The Chew" and who truly love to cook and to to roll up their sleeves and prepare healthy foods and gourmet meals. They would probably just shake their heads in wonder at that. A big "Thumbs Up" for this informative and entertaining book!

I LOVED this book! So glad I was able to read it in English on my Kindle, since it's not out in print (yet). I really love this author. I hope more of her books will be available on Kindle soon!
