Excellent, would highly recommend this book

Excellent, would highly recommend this book. This is one of the few school books I have not sold back or gotten rid of after the semester ends. This book contains clinically relevant easy to follow splinting instructions, including the diagnoses for each type of splint and easy to follow directions for fabrication. I would highly recommend this book as a resource for OT students as well as experienced clinicians. The layout and design of book is well organized and very user friendly. Does not contain extra "fluff" like many textbooks. Easy to look up the exact splint or keyword you are trying to find. This edition provides alternative methods and designs for fabricating orthoses utilizing neoprene and customizing prefab options. Highly recommend.

The book is a great resource to have, as a beginning therapist. I wish the cover was more durable since it's a pretty thick book. I was very pleased with the way the book was packaged, and it arrived much sooner than scheduled!

Love Brandon and Mary's story!! A true second chance love story!!

I have been waiting for Mary and Brandon's story since we were first introduced to them in book 1, Make Me Forget. I have to say this book exceeded all my expectations. I really enjoyed the first book, but this one surpassed it by leaps and bounds. I love that the author gave us background into Mary and Brandon and how their relationship first started when they were kids. There honestly wasn't one thing about this book that I would change. It was written to perfection. I also really liked that it was written in both Mary and Brandon's POV. And let me tell you, Brandon is the epitome of every woman's dream man. He was patient with Mary even though he wanted to push her to deal with everything they went through. He wanted to hold on as tight as he could and never let go, but yet didn't smother her. I loved how these characters and their story was told. It was a true second chance love story. You do not have to read the first book before you read this one, however my opinion is that you do read it first. I give this book 5 AMAZEBALLS stars and can not wait for Liam and Meara's book. A copy was gifted in exchange for an honest review.

LOVE IT

Awesome second chance romance story about Mary and Brandon (Travis’s older brother from Make Me Forget). These two have a history going back to when they were childhood best friends. The two of them never acted on their attraction to each other, and Mary ran away after an accident that she felt was her fault.

I love that Brandon is so determined to find Mary and then to win her back. Mary is a really great character that made a few rough choices as a kid, but it’s great to see her develop through the book. And I loved seeing Travis and Charlotte from Make Me Forget!

I absolutely love this series from Anna Brooks and can’t wait to read more from her.

What a great read! I seriously could not put the book down. I felt so invested in the story and loved all the characters! I felt like I was watching it all unfold before my eyes and was anxious to find out what happens next! Amazing writing and an even more amazing story! Anna brooks is a new author to me and I was so pleasantly surprised at how great her books are!

About the Author
Since 1978, Anne Hillman has continued to develop and teach a contemporary philosophy of consciousness that can contribute to fundamental changes in individuals and their cultures. She mentors individuals and groups who are serious about deepening a mature spirituality, and her books are opportunities to go beyond existing personal and cultural perspectives--an invitation into a larger embrace. Inspired by Brian Swimme and Thomas Berry during a year of postgraduate study in 1987, Anne's work turned to serving the critical needs of the community of life on Earth, and has focused on the radical transformation required for Homo sapiens to adapt. To that end, she has led experiential learning groups and retreats in the US, Australia, and Canada about the essential inner preparation for the emergent consciousness of Love. Educated at Smith College, Anne was originally a classical musician, choral director, and singer. Widowed early in life with two young children, she was offered one of the first Radcliffe Institute fellowships for part-time graduate study in 1970, and received a master's degree in adult learning and organization development from Boston University.� She worked as a consultant and for twenty years, helped a broad spectrum of organizations tap new levels of group functioning and creativity in times of rapid change. Love is The Mystery

After reading this book, it struck me that some books tell 'about' the Truth and others tell the Truth. 'Awakening the Energies of Love' tells the Truth. The author steps right into it, up to her neck, as it were, and takes us with her. On virtually every page the author takes us into her life--courageously, unabashedly. But while standing this deep in the Truth at times can be discomforting, it never feels like what she reveals is 'too private'. On the contrary, what she describes turns out to be as much ours as it is hers since her words then embrace and caress her experiences, becoming reflections of what those deeply personal experiences mean universally, spiritually. How do we use in our own lives these deep inner Truths she has touched? As intimate and deeply personal as Hillman's writing is, it carries, in beautiful prose and poetry, a universal message about love that is rarely articulated quite so clearly and personally. In her own words, we learn that the love we yearn for, even as we erect barriers against it, is "not something we do. It stands revealed as who we really are. Walls fallen away, we find ourselves in communion with everything--in communion with Being itself--I AM." (p. 331)I suspect I will never finish reading this book, for each time I open it again, usually to a random page, I discover a part I have perhaps understood too quickly and so must read again as if for the first time.

A Remarkable Book

This is a remarkable book: it doesn't take sides. True to her subject of Love, Anne Hillman doesn't make different points of view wrong in order to prove her own. She doesn't speak to just one kind of reader either--not only to Christians or those with New Age perspectives, to Buddhists or agnostics or scientists. Rather than adding to the arguments between all these warring factions, this author includes all of us, so that we may (in her words) "join hands." She honors our differences, then demonstrates how we can develop new skills to bring our conflicts to an end. Whatever your persuasion, be it martial arts or philosophy, religion or cosmology, Anne invites you to join her on a journey into the common denominator of Love. In the first half of the book, "The Known," she'll guide you down into the three "Foundations of the Soul"--your body, heart, and mind--and help you to understand not only your heritage, but also yourself more deeply. In the second half, "The Unknown," she'll take you further than psychology and religion as we usually think of them, beyond what you know through your intellect and your feelings, towards the mysteries of a different kind of Love. You will understand that awakening to such an "unknown" is a rebirth: what her subtitle calls Fire for the Second Time. How can you awaken to this kind of Love in your life? To a Compassion that serves all life on this planet--all of existence? This book will inspire you to answer those questions for yourself. CARL ALBRECHT is one of the today's most honored and respected worship drummers. His passionate musical ministry has drawn people around the globe into the presence of God. One of a kind

This book is destined to become a classic and must-have for worship drummers. It would be a fantastic addition to any worship drummers library, whether they are just starting or a seasoned pro.

Carl Albrecht (drummer for Paul Baloche, Maranatha Music, Darrell Evans, and countless others..) has done an amazing job writing one of the first drum books to specifically address technical, emotional, and professional aspects of drumming within the context of playing for a worship service.

Some foundational drum notation is included (8th note groove, 16th hi-hat, etc), but this book serves more as a supplement alongside a traditional pattern-oriented instructional book. *Side Note- if you are looking for beginning instructional material, be sure to check out Carl Abrecht's DVD, Drum Grooves For Worship. It is available at his website*

Interesting characters indeed!

I thoroughly enjoy this MM romance between a gunslinger/tracker/ex-army veteran and a sophisticated professor in the wild west. I just wish there is much more because these guys and their town with its solid side characters deserve it. Both Jonah and Aaron are such interesting characters, each man with his own hidden past. Their romance really starts off with needed sex borned out of loneliness for the professor and the wound down from an adrenalin high from hunting down murderers in Aaron's case. Both men know deep down it is just sex. How could it not be with Aaron who floats from town to town as a hardened tracker/gunslinger for hire. And the sophisticated Jonah does not seem someone who could commit with his seemingly idiosyncracies, eccentricities and cool front. They really have nothing in common except aloneness living in the dangerous wild west and their experience of the wars in different ways. Yet affection blossomed which could easily lead to love. Whether they will truly stay together in the long run is really up to our imagination unless the writer gives us more. Jonah is a most mystifying character as his past is revealed little by little. I wish the same is done for Aaron and maybe there is a sequel where we will know more (hinting to the writer!). The plot is well done for a novella and I like her writing which has me glued from page one. Looking forward to more from this writer.

Well...what a wonderful read. The sex, the plot and the rich characters all lead to an interesting read. I sure hope there is another book or two around Eden Springs.

I loved the story. The story line was authentic and have a number of twists and turns. THe sex scenes were not over done. You really get the feel that you are there and seeing what they see. THe story leaves it open for a sequel or a series which i hope to see soon. Will be watching for much more from this writer. Recommend this to everyone.

Michael W. Volk, PE, is the president of Volk & Associates, Inc., Oakland, California, volkassociates.com, a consulting company specializing in pumps and pump systems. Volk’s services include pump training seminars; pump equipment evaluation, troubleshooting, and field testing; expert witness for pump litigation; witnessing of pump shop tests; pump market research; and acquisition and divestiture consultation and brokerage. A member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and a registered professional engineer, Volk received his BS degree (1973) in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana, and his MS degree (1976) in mechanical engineering and his MS degree (1980) in management science from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. a must have

I thought I knew a lot about pumps but the author put me to shame. Third edituon is great. Really not only useful as a resource but interesting to read as well. Although some of the info is available through other resources and i could spend hours on google, much easier to have it all in one place. Defitely a must have if you work with pumps.

Great book

I really like the way Volk presented the information without getting into the higher level of fluid mechanics math. I use the book for the engineering technicians I teach and the information is presented with clear understanding. This is one book I have heard student's say they are not going to sell back. The second edition is great with the addition of color.

This is one of the best books in my technical library

This is one of the best books in my technical library. If you work with pumps, hydronics, or anything associated with it, you will learn a lot. If you have extensive experience, it's a great refresher, and it tackles difficult subjects like Net Positive Suction Head with ease.
